This morning, when I was rummaging through my cabinets to find something to eat, I remembered a recipe I found on GreenLiteBites for "Simple Thick Chocolate Oatmeal with Almonds." Oatmeal, check; Almonds, check; Chocolate Milk, check! I had all the ingredients, so I went ahead and made this. It was so good! I didn't have the chocolate almonds like Roni used, but regular almonds tasted great too. Next time I'm in the store, I'll look for the chocolate almonds that she used so I can try this recipe again with those.
5 ounces Light Chocolate Milk
1/2 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
1/2 ounce Almonds
Put the milk and oatmeal in a small pot and bring to a boil while stirring. Lower the heat to a simmer and cook to the desired thickness (this was not very long at all).
*Quite honestly, after eating this, I may never go back to buying instant oatmeal again. This took less time to make and was just as good, if not better!!
