Grapefruit Magaritas

Grapefruit margarita

Happy Wednesday! You've made it over the work-week hump. Can I offer you a drink? How about this grapefruit margarita? It's the perfect combination of sweet and tart. Last night, Joel and I had a little Mexican fiesta for ourselves in the backyard, which featured these margaritas. They were a delicious end cap to a long day of work (for him) and gardening (for me).

3 ounces Tequila
2 ounces Orange Liqueur, such as Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
2 ounces Fresh-Squeezed Lime Juice (I got this from 1 lime)
6 ounces Fresh-Squeezed Grapefruit Juice (1 large grapefruit)
Blue Agave Nectar, to taste
Salt for rim, optional (I omitted)

In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and agave nectar. Check for sweetness and add additional agave nectar, if desired. Pour over two small glasses of ice, rimmed with salt if desired. Serves 2.
